Super moment à voir et à écouter. Excellent, les souvenirs de Philippe "J'ai acheté ces deux albums en aout 1987" ! De mon coté je me souviens des découvertes des albums de Misanthrope et Loudblast à la fin des années 90, la claque absolue. Et c'est fou de voir que plus de 2 ans après on a presque oublié la souffrance que ça a été pour eux cette période de covid. Tant mieux en tous cas qu'ils soient toujours là en 2024.

Henry Ranta's take on melodic death metal drumming is still in a league of it's own. His style was perfectly aggressive yet musical. It fit the playing of Wichers and Frenning so well. I miss hearing him on Soilwork's later albums. Dirk was amazing but he did not have the same special touch that Ranta did. I secretly suspected that Wichers eventually left because his favorite drummer was gone... meh. 🤘

My band toured with Coroner and Tommy intimidated me and I was a big fan. Early on a few of us were tasked with doing everyone's laundry and we missed Tommy's bag. I thought he was going to be so pissed when we told him. He was like "whatever", "I thought you were going to tell me something bad". We had a great tour with those cool guys. 1990 Coroner, Atrophy and Forced Entry.
